The Pajama Party and Night Out Camping

14th & 15th January 2020

The Pajama Party and Night Out Camping are exemplified to be an event which is fun & exploration and encourages bonding.

This activity is to assert independence amongst children, to develop a strong social rapport.

To foster a healthy liaison among students and a sense of self-awareness today Dr. Vishwanath Karad’s World Peace School/Vishwashanti Gurukul, Alandi has arranged a Pajama Party for students of Grade I and II and a Night Out Camp for Grade III to IX.

The party was an opportunity to develop a considerably congenial atmosphere to assemble learning with fun & frolic at school, a ‘Home away from Home’. The primary aim behind this overnight event was to teach kids how to be independent so that they begin to proclaim autonomy to develop social connections outside their immediate family and home.

The Pajama Party and Night Out were an amalgamation of various exciting activities like Tracking on Mountains, Fun-filled games, Singing, Dancing, Yoga, Zumba and interesting bedtime stories for the kids to enjoy. They felt the joy of relishing evening refreshments, dinner and breakfast with their peers and teachers for the first time.

This party procured the young sparks with different ways and styles of living and performing outside their comfort zone, which is always being chaperoned by their parents.

During the activities at the ‘Overnight Pajama Party’, the children learned to collaborate, discuss with each other and plan. This party provided a very safe and happy ambiance that promoted learning in very subtle and informal ways. We encouraged every student to be present for the night out, it was an event that children really enjoyed and savored. For younger kids, even sleeping away from their parents is an adventure and an exercise to build independence.
